nemo review

Posted : 14 years, 4 months ago on 11 December 2009 11:17 (A review of Finding Nemo)

Deep, dark and interesting. And no this is not sarcasm. How many animated movies do you know had fish with short-term memory loss, overprotective parents and death? I can think of one.

Little Mermaid review

Posted : 14 years, 5 months ago on 3 December 2009 06:53 (A review of The Little Mermaid)

Children like disburing things. This is disburbing. Just imagine a bunch of seedy animators inside of room creating the slut princess Ariel, who seems to enjoy wearing only sea shells. She was so hot, in fact, that they stripped her naked during the "transformation" sequence and shut her up for most of the film. ??? Then, they decided it would be cool if the priest got an erection from her good looks at her own wedding serice (although this was when Ursula transformed into her, so...) Oh yeah and the sterotypical lazy Jamaican crab was pretty mind boggiling to. So...yeah. Not one of my favorites.

Christmas Carol review

Posted : 14 years, 5 months ago on 27 November 2009 01:48 (A review of A Christmas Carol)

I went and saw this one at the IMAX and it looked incredibly cool but other than that it was pretty lame. I liked how they ripped it directly from the book as well but overall this movie just really wasn't the best. It's attempts at comedy were meager at best and Jim Carrey just gets really annoying throughout. The Ghost of Christmas Past was also very...disturbing. It sounded exactly like what I picture all child molestors to sound like.

Shining review

Posted : 14 years, 5 months ago on 27 November 2009 01:43 (A review of The Shining)

Well no doubt this has plenty of classic moments, but thats mainly because this movie is 20 hours long and it has Jack Nicholson in it. He pretty much has to carry the film the whole time and try to make it look halfway good in the prescene of horrid actress Shelly Duvall who seems to enjoy making retarted facial expressions just to see how much it will piss off the viewer. The movie's pace is slower than molassas and sometimes is just downright funny because of all the freakin overacting. They cut out a bunch of stuff from the book and turned it from "supernatural" horror to "psychological" horror. In other words, Mr. Kubrick turned it from imaginative and entertaining to crappy and annoying. Overall this movie still was pretty good considering the parts that everyone knows and quotes and also a few others as well. Still not enough to save it from being the so called "classic" that it is. Ah well.
